Inside the New UFO Files: What They Actually Show

By | May 8, 2026

Hi Everyone,

This took all day, since I really needed time to actually review at least a portion of the 161 files that were released today. Obviously, I couldn’t do them all, but I went through all the titles and downloaded and read and watched enough of them to get a very good sense of this.

I don’t have much to add here beyond my Youtube description and what I say in the video itself, which is only 30 minutes long. I am not aware of anyone else having actually reviewed the files, although they may have by now. Anyway, this is my first effort at it.

This is what I wrote for YouTube:

A new tranche of “UFO files” has just been released from Washington, and there’s already a lot of speculation about what it all means. In this video, Richard goes through the material directly—historical documents, space-era transcripts, and recent military ISR cases from the 2020s—to see what’s actually there. Some of it has been public for years. Some of it is potentially interesting. This is a beginning of the process of actually examining the files themselves.

Many people have already trashed this release. I understand that, I understand the disappointment. But as a UFO nerd, there is actually some interesting stuff in here. Definitely not disclosure! Not even close. But for historical/archival purposes, it’s a start.

Your thoughts, please!

Richard

    Hi, Richard, Tracey and Yates!

You’re right, it’s not disclosure, at all: More like the crust of a moldy biscuit, tossed to a starving animal.

We knew nothing would come of this, because there was no major announcement about aliens having been proved to exist. It was “make of it what you will.”

The dismissive arrogance of “make of it what you will” is astounding, but not surprising. Yet it is offensive.

The comment by Rep Burchett of, “Transparency takes time” is telling; and it doesn’t tell us something good.

Also, the further comment by someone (sorry, I can’t remember who…) of “this is not the 46 videos” that Rep. Luna spoke of, is further indication that we have been dismissed by the jerks at the top of our societal food chain.

And of course, as you indicated, we’ve already seen some of these on the internet, from Jeremey, George and others. So, they aren’t even all “new” videos.

Meanwhile, the deranged, ever-more-senile orangutan in D.C. stays on his knobby, furry knees and obeys his genocidal masters from West Asia.

I do, however, look forward to your analysis of all this! Hopefully, you will find some things of interest to us. 🙂

I’ve gone through some of the files, a bit disappointing in my opinion, but kind of what expected. I never expected the Pentagon was going to release ay bombshell information to the public. I knew exactly what videos to release. Videos of an object so far away you can’t make heads or tails of it. We all know that there are far better videos out there that they could have shared, such as the video of a ufo shooting some type of beam at a dummy warhead at Vandenberg Air Force base back in the 1960’s . It seems to me that Pentagon is just feeding scraps to the public, and probably hoping that representatives such as Luna ,Burchett, and Burleson will back off at least for a while.

    Richard and friends,
Something that many are being very critical about regarding this batch of documents is how many of these have already been in the public domain for years.
That is true for us in the UFO research community
Though not for the general public. This subject has been so stigmatized over the decades that the average person not only has never taken even a cursory dive into the reality of the phenomenon, even its mention in polite conversation was ridiculed.
The 21 FBI documents in the release have all been available in the FBI reading room for years. Hover’s Roswell memo that clearly acknowledges the recovery of a craft and his insistence that the FBI be allowed access to it, holds the record for the most views of any document the FBI has including those related to the Kennedy assassination. Though I can share that as I have a number of friends in the FBI, none of them knew about that memo, or for that matter, and I kid you not, they didn’t even know what the Roswell incident was.
So, though there are many “Re-releases” you might say, we have a whole new generation that has never seen any of these. They weren’t even born when we landed on the Moon and were always told that UFOs were the stuff of conspiracy theories.
I look at this first batch as the history of UFO 101. Basically an introduction to the subject and the admission that though the general public has been told there’s nothing to it and the government doesn’t study the matter, they have just tascitly admitted to lying to them for their entire life.

Yes. I do think many of us who have been around for a while miss this point.

Reminds me of going through the Church Committee dumps in the late 80s when people began distributing 100s of pages. My first batch cost $340 in 2026 dollars and was a lot of money for me in those days.

        >” we have a whole new generation that has never seen any of these. “<<<

Not through any lack of effort on my part. And as far as I am concerned, that whole new generation isn't all that important UFOlogically. They're mostly popcorn munchers. Non-player characters. People who never read books and are barely capable af remembering what was on the last TikTok video that's rotting their brain function.

People with real interest and motivation are there, and doing their homework. People like you and I are helping, but we are not their driving force, the topic is.

The millions of know-nothing noobs under the influence of crap-spewing talking heads are beyond our reach.

I think the first vid you showed noted I believe that it was only observable with infrared sensors. Does the us have the ability to produce something that can only be seen with specialized sensors?
I am actually surprised we got this much variety covering so many years. I think it’s encouraging. We will never get all we want.
    Thank you,
    Roger

I have to say that a very old-fashioned term back from when I was a kid applies here it’s all stems and seeds. And God knows they must have millions of that kind of khasarai to use a grandparent Yiddish term LOL, lying around they could keep these files coming every day for months and nothing better is going to come out. I also want to add that Donald Trump has zero interest in the topic and he practically falls asleep when he’s asked about it.

By the way Lou was with Ross no comment on either one of these people because I stand boringly consistent over the years on them.. were talking to what’s his name Chris Cuomo and Lou was trying to play it like this was breaking news coming out of these files… And even Cuomo had to beg to differ with him.. and it was just so basic and logical that Lou kind of like let me just say he was a bit embarrassed. But as I said he’s the pr man.

    1. ACTIVEGUARDIAN

Lou’s the PR man. But everyone always forgets he is a self-admitted torturer and war criminal. I don’t know why that’s so easy for people to forget. I can’t.

Real people, everyday people who are not war criminals or otherwise stooges of a murderous empire… REAL PEOPLE have been telling us that UFOs are real since before we were born. They tell us what happened to them. They tell us what they saw and how the phenomena acted in the sky or water. They did this with human eyes and simple cameras. There are many multiple witness events. Their reports and photos have withstood a lifetime of review and authentication. I trust them over ANYTHING the disclosure OP crew says or provides.

Rita, I don’t watch Lou or anyone he appears with, so I’m not up on his latest disinfo efforts. Any new bread crumbs for me to laugh at? Maybe he’s told us that the top-of-the-food-chain aliens roll us in bread crumbs before they eat us?

We don’t need Lou or his pals to get to the truth, because the truth that we all need to know is not in them. They have every motivation to maintain the status quo for the Epstein-class, their bosses. That status quo is maintained by delay… delay… delay… Lou, Mellon, etc. have had a very successful 9 year run of delay without disclosure. Coming up on 10 years.

I liked the Apollo 17 photo of the 3 lights flying over the lunar landscape in triangle formation. It is likely the most common ufo configuration, and here they are flying over the moon in 1972. Obviously not ours, then, or now!…

  7. TomTort

This appears to be just more dangling the carrot. When I heard Walter Cronkite say on the live broadcast during the Apollo 11 landing, I had the feeling there’s something going on that would never be revealed. If you recall Walter Cronkite’s comment on the “off channel” conversation when Neil Armstrong said he saw Santa Claus just over the horizon. WHY FOR THE LIFE OF ME NOBODY REMEMBERS THIS. My science professor at the time told me, THIS COMMENT IS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICE BERG. The entire class laughed thinking the professor is crazy.
Now That I have done some research on this topic, it is those who don’t know anything about UFOLOGY are completely out of touch. When you factor in the religious aspect people get really nuts.

Did they mention In the latest dump the national security implications? UFO gets close radar gets jammed? USOs get close same happens with navy destroyers that are not operational, tic tac and the cap point, anyways I’m not going to even pretend to look at all those videos I know UFOs are real. I was seeing you, Tyler and Bryce. We’re all so different as humans. I’ve never met Bryce but I’ve spoken to Tyler many times and I was impressed he didn’t know much about the history or has heard but didn’t care much. I’m like you Richard but I think we are a very small minority. Some might say why read yesterday’s newspaper!? What is going on today and how does it affect me is how people think. Then the science aspect he mentioned: wtf does that mean? Scientific coalition for Uap studies, UAPX, Mufon, Galileo project, Sol foundation? If I write a check what’s my return potential or should I just look at it like a donation? That sounds horrible but I have many blurry videos of Uap and sometimes I get comments you should invest in etc! No!!!! No thank you! I also have the pleasure of having talked to Brandon Fugal who honestly is very underrated in the ufo community but that guy is a badass. He’s a billionaire and he’s got a legit interesting show where they do a legit scientific effort and damn it Richard I wish one day you could see some episodes of skinwalker ranch or beyond skinwalker. Right now on Netflix they have season 4 check out episode 3, no spoilers but if I don’t tease you wont see it so they finally complete a goal they’ve been trying to work on for 4 years and something men in black like happens at the exact moment they make that discovery! Anyways Tyler always gives Fugal a lot of crap but he did give us the Kirkpatrick picture and the point is we are never happy as a community! Also if Fugal with his billions is struggling I’m good personally on investing in the science. I’ll invest in the research like yourself, documents, the fuckin cover up!

Neither billionaire oligarchs nor government stooges have ANY motivation to do or tell us anything except what they are already doing and making a good living at.

People get frustrated because their model of how the US works is backwards. They assume that the people are sovereign, the government works for the people and the IC works for the President. But in reality corporations and banks are sovereign, with both the politicians and IC working directly for them. Nobody works for the people, we are at the bottom of the food chain. Look into the Dulles brothers and Brown brothers and Harriman if you want to understand how the IC is managed and what happens to Presidents who don’t play ball. The CIA works to expand corporate interests be it Dole fruit in Hawaii 100 years ago, oil companies in Venezuela today or hotel and casino owners in Cuba tomorrow. Disclosure will happen when it is good for corporate interests. Our best better is the elite factional war between the traditional MIC and the tech bros that is occurring over UAP tech. That may shake stuff lose.
