I have a short video on this. I am trying to discuss this as neutrally as I can.
Seen from a longer view (last 20 years or more) the current US–Israel war with Iran is not a sudden crisis. And I doubt it will unfold the way its architects expect. You’ve got the public rhetoric, which is all about nuclear containment. However, there is clearly a deeper strategy here: political regime change, pursued through military force at a moment when diplomacy was still nominally in play.
The consequences of this war will immediately go beyond the battlefields and civilian deaths. I imagine they will very quickly affect energy markets, global alignments, and long-term stability. In this video, I discuss my own reasons why I think this war is strategically unwise and why escalation risks are being underestimated.
But the last ten minutes or so address how the climate of secrecy and crisis may also affect the already fragile prospects for meaningful UAP disclosure.
I hope you find this interesting.
Richard

You’re the main person who’s opinion I wanted to hear about this.
I’m thinking of the 10000’s+ of people killed, imprisoned, hanged and tortured by the IRGC/Iranian Regime. And how most decent Iranians hated and suffered in misery in the regime.
That’s where I stand and see things .
I hope the Iranian people especially the ones effected by the censorship and the murderous crack down during the recent protests and the ones suffering under brutal regime find peace, joy, true justice and freedom now..
That’s my view and main only concern . Call me a kid or simple. But that purely the way I see it.

The majority of Iranians I know are happy & pleased about it and indeed have been calling for it. People, kids everyone saying “Thank you Israel, Thank you uncle, Thank you USA” .
That’s as far as I go. I hope it works out for those people. I commend dt/Israel for doing way he/they did (finally). It was overdue.
I just wish the best for the world & its people.
You dig Netanyahu? Hmmm. I am a Jew so let’s talk Israel.
You just let me know ………….But i have a feeling it would not be approved by Richard. Although i always play nice. Btw, my Iranian friends tend to think more like me, Rifka.
Rita
I quite like your non-UAP stuff. So, I suppose one avenue of interest would be to look into histories of populations that survived dying empires… and how they did it.
That’d be a refreshingly hopeful modern story: to hear about how, as a system rots from within, a new mentality breaks from it and finds/becomes a new Petri dish in which to thrive. Maybe Toynbee is the place to go for this? Anyways, you’re doing great by me… thanks!
Trump did not really want this war. Netenyahu is blackmailing him through the Epstein Files. Of course Iran should never be allowed to have a nuke as they would use it,, in my opinion.
Anyway the common denominator is always oil and Islam. Without Islam the world would be a safer place. As regards oil the stronger nations (the US) will always try to dominate the weaker nations and take over their assets.
Since the introduction of BRICS expect more of these retaliations to oil rich countries from the US.
Like I mentioned previously – trump is “The Mule”, and THAT did NOT work out at all.
So we are witnessing rich fux playing RISK, and poorly to boot.
Shame on us and shame on Israel.
Certainly, there are Iranian cells here – and I expect them to be activated to cause maximum damage. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. in fact, I’d be MORE surprised if that doesn’t happen.
Who the hell would want to get on an airplane anywhere?
If regime change is the game, let’s start here in our own backyard.
A very ill-conceived/criminal war. Same old weapons of mass destruction BS. More likely to result in a regime change in the USA and maybe Israel.
Hello Richard. So here we are. First of all, i do not think israel is trump’s only problem. But then you and i did not agree on anything much in the past year if memory serves, 🙂 I even talked about pete hegseth and you disagreed with me on his ability to be secretary of defense and or war. To be honest, it was the disclosure stuff that just became too much b.s. for me in general, not the politics that got me away from the whole topic here.
Well, disclosure. I have to catch up now. I think it was a distraction and planned by fox news genius and pal of trump, peter doocy or ducy or whatever his name is. He has people who have said it would be a boost for him to go to the ufo issue. “Release the files” and all. Nothing happened anyway. I did not expect anything unless ET was on epstein island but that would have been redacted already by the mistress of all things legal and articulate, pam bondi. I think she was hilarious in her congressional hearing video. A comedic genius i say! I think it should be called “I know you are but what am I”.
Maybe little Marco will step in and disclose………..No wait. He is busy with two cabinet positions and i think he is now the supreme leader of Cuba. I know trump is leader of Venezuela now. Or owns it or something. No, that’s not it. But he has that peace prize although the woman who happily gave it to him is a long time rubio pal and CIA cutout. But enough about that…..
Well, am i going to get voted off the island? LOL. I know i have been a persona non gratis several times here…………….
And this also happened since i was last here……….Speilberg has a new movie coming out. It looks like trash and a ‘be afraid’ movie just in time for summer fun!
Now aren’t you glad to see me again? 🙂 🙂 🙂
Oh, one more thing on a more serious note. Although i have been quite serious here already.
No world leader with a brain is going to trust the usa again. I thought Iran had been very naive. The US bombed them while having ‘talks’ or ‘deals’ as the honcho calls them. That was last June. I was hoping they wouldn’t be sucked in again. Now i may be too, too controversial here, but nothing has changed with america since dealing with the ‘red man’. Forked tongue.
However, it ain’t lost on Russia. Putin was pissed.
Maybe kushner will give Putin a free membership to the ‘board of peace’ and waive the billion dollar fee?
“No world leader with a brain is going to trust the usa again. I thought Iran had been very naive. The US bombed them while having ‘talks’ or ‘deals’ as the honcho calls them. That was last June. I was hoping they wouldn’t be sucked in again.”
I agree completely.
I drafted this last night and held off because I didn’t want to inflame the thread, but I think the point matters—especially now that people’s positions are becoming clearer.
Furthermore, I also think you’ve got the “who is the traitor to negotiations” thing backwards. Fake-out tactics and stalling—fake negotiations—are, and always have been, used by the Iranian regime. Who has been using negotiations as a ruse and in bad faith for years: the U.S., or the Iranian regime?
I don’t think Trump’s a savior or an angel, and I don’t think Israel is either—but I do think the Iranian regime is far worse, and I think a lot of coverage tends to minimize that. Julian Assange and John Pilger noted this dynamic as well. Anyway, with respect to the “talks,” I see a long pattern of stalling and leverage-seeking by bad actors.
People have been killed in Iran for no good reason long before this war began.

A fateful error has placed Iran in an unprecedented position. Here are several initial points following the opening moves of a war that has no precedent, primarily because it is being conducted through very close joint coordination between the IDF and U.S. forces:
A Diplomatic Blunder
The war is the result of miscalculations by the now-deceased Supreme Leader Khamenei and the heads of the Revolutionary Guard.
They absolutely did not want to find themselves in a war with the United States; they assessed that they had a chance to appease President Trump through an interim explanation that would defuse tensions and pave the way for continued negotiations. However, they executed this in a clumsy manner.
The proposals submitted by Foreign Minister Araghchi to Witkoff and Kushner were stingy and riddled with “landmines,” failing to address issues beyond the nuclear realm. They likely estimated they could drag these negotiations out over a prolonged period (like many other times before, to many other leaders, in other talks), forgetting that Trump has a “short fuse,” and that patience is not his most prominent trait. He likely felt they were trying to play him.
The Iranian leadership has been paying the price for this terrible mistake since Saturday morning.
Assisting the Iranians in this error was Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA in Vienna, who sought an agreement at any cost to bolster his chances of being elected the next UN Secretary-General. Grossi was aided significantly by a mediator, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, who had already rushed to declare that the outline of the agreement was finalized and required “only technical phrasing.”
Escalation in the Gulf
The Iranians are making another grave error by launching missiles and UAVs at American bases—most of which were evacuated anyway—in Kuwait, Qatar, the Emirates, and Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as against the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain. This decision forces them to allocate fewer resources for attacks on Israel and American vessels. Furthermore, this reality may compel the rulers of the Gulf states to shift their policy toward Iran, after having been the most prominent lobbyists for the prevention of war.
Anyways, Credit to Trump/Netty for finally doing what many people wanted them to do—finally. This BS of fake peace/talks/negotiations (all the while ordinary people were being crushed) was going on too long. There comes a point where watching repeated atrocities while the “civilised” world looks the other way becomes unbearable, especially when “negotiations” can become cover for it.
I’m glad the world is finally waking up—at least a bit.
I’ve also seen Iranians and Israelis celebrating this with my own eyes, and I think that matters when we talk about what “ordinary Iranians” actually want. And that matters, It matters alot. It matters more than anyone could know. It always has. Many blinded eyes, ripped open bodies, traumatised and brutally tortured and murdered protestors just asking for what everyone here already has and enjoys, and hanged young kids and doctors could attest to that.
P.S. I never feared this day. After what i have seen I was one of the ones praying for something like it (but in a good way. withiut harms). Like a man to say true to his word or shut up and never say it in the first place, and get 40K killed for the gift of intelligence of when and how to attack. Well atleast he has now, and mabye somewhere Those dead souls are happy they served a higher/better cause. IDK. Peace,
P. P.S. When I say I “never feared this day,” I don’t mean I’m celebrating war. I mean I refused to pretend the status quo was “peace” while Iranians were being jailed, tortured, and killed. I don’t want my comfort or freedom to rest on continued repression. I’m praying the outcome is less suffering, not more.
Needless to say, I ain’t happy about 40k+ having to die because of U.S. intelligence. I ain’t happy at all. But that doesn’t make Trump or the U.S. any more murderous than any other nation or army from time immemorial until now. It’s called “tough shit—this is life. It’s unfair and it sucks. You can only control what you can control.” Have a great day.
As for me, I’m never protesting anything for anyone/thing in my life!! Lol !! Peace & Blessings all.
I believe Richard agreed with me about the us not being able to be trusted from now on. So I don’t know who you were talking to although I have a feeling that I would be the more likely recipient since I am not highly esteemed here. Have a nice day
I hope the coalition blows the absolute Bejesus out of those backward psychos.
Said like a true patriot baby. Wow I didn’t know you could write things like that here. Although I wouldn’t because I’m I guess a little more civilized. Richard can decide if I was insulting you I don’t think I was I was just stating facts. Have a nice day.
