This was a thoroughly satisfying interview with one of ufology’s most knowledgable and rational researchers. Peter Davenport has directed the National UFO Reporting Center since 1994 and has truly seen it all. His site has collected hundreds of thousands of UFO reports, and he has investigated many of the best ones. Here he discusses his dramatic childhood sighting in the 1950s, a few fascinating early reports dating back to the 1930s, as well as 21st century cases of orbs, triangles, and more.
Part 2 is locked and loaded and will be available tonight as well. It’s a great follow-up to this one and available solely for members of this site.

Excellent interview. Here is a link to a description on building a simple passive radar using commonly available SDR ( software-defined radio ) dongles:

Looks like an interesting project. I’m not sure how one would distinguish between conventional aircraft, UAPs/UFOs, giant flocks of plover ( ! ) etc.
Still, I think Mr Davenport’s idea of using this technique is a good one. Perhaps the solution would be a distributed network of “individual contributors” using such an apparatus as described in the article….thereby keeping the costs down, etc.
Me too, Richard: It IS maddening to have people remain so thoroughly laconic with respect to the ufo or our own tech!
Richard, I’m getting an Oops members only notice when I try too listen to part two. What’s up?
Hello there Dennis~ Sometimes this happens to me too – you might want to try logging out completely and then logging back in again.
If you try again, it SHOULD work for you. If you have any trouble after doing this, you can email our webmaster Evelyn at webmaster@richarddolanmembers.com OR myself at kirsten@richarddolanmembers.com.
Hope you can hear it!
