Blast from the Past – Interview from circa 2009

By | June 28, 2022

Hi Everyone,

This was published on Youtube about a week ago, clearly from something that I did and just can’t remember! But that’s how I looked in 2008 or 2009. One of those years. It’s a fairly long interview and an interesting point of comparison with our own time. Despite the passage of years, the issues are basically the same.

Thanks to PTD for finding this!

    Richard,

I would like to ask you about something which I’ve never heard you speak of in the past.

When you began being pulled deeper and deeper into this topic while (I suppose) working on your dissertation, what did your advisor have to say about this sideways change in direction? You must have brought it up to him/her, or furnished an explanation for why you eventually dropped out of the Ph.D. program. In the same vein, how did your fellow history grad students/friends react?

I would be very interested in hearing your experience with the formal academic world while you were “corrupted” by this “nonsense.” 😉

    Thanks,
    Andrew

So articulate and well assessed… intelligent, mature discussions like this are the best means of convincing or at least sparking the consideration of bona fide sceptics who dismiss UFOs as fantasy. These early lectures and interviews are what made me a follower!

Since I’m relatively new here and was not aware of you back then it is great to see how ahead you were that far back

I watched this the other day! The beige suit was on point too. My favorite quote: “Geez, UFO’s are fun” lol

    Excellent Richard.
What I truly appreciate is your CONSISTENCY through the years.
    Thank you for educating us.

    You are loved.

I would LOVE to see Timothy Good and Dolan just sitting in a living room somewhere talking shop. I remember being a 16 year old nerdy girl back in 2008 or 2009 and talking(with my dad) to Stanton Friedman. He spent over an hour with us at a hotel restaurant and talked UFO shop with my dad. My dad was an engineer at Pratt & Whitney at the time and they were talking about what UFOS use for energy. I wish had that interview taped, it was great stuff. 👍

I’ve seen this many times, it’s one of those “leader of accuracy confirmed” RD videos. It was on the free stream channels.

If you get to the point in your life where you feel there is something wrong with the way I’m understanding the world.

I’m going to suggest that this topic is one key part of the answer.

Where’s the MSM, why haven’t they covered this? Where’s our political system?

    The national security state.

    2009. Amazing!

You have a “treasure chest” of UFO information in your volumes which is surpassed by none. Frankly, Linda Moulton Howe is a good second choice. Between the two of you, anyone who reads these comprehensive works, must conclude the topic of ufology is legitimate and should be taken seriously. Your work’s challenge “elite” individuals and at times, I have honestly wondered if either one of you had to look over your shoulder to “nefarious” circumstances. You both have challenged the powers that be and the “New world Order.” Yet with all of the distractions, you continue to explore and challenge those who keep the lid on the truth of your research.
I find it quite enlightening to be able to go back and revisit some of your past lectures, simply because some of this conversation has to be revisited because through time some very revealing information is forgotten.

Richard, apologies for the (barely) off-topic comment, but I think you’ll find this speech worth a read.
